Milana

Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American actress, comedian, and activist. Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and began her acting career when she was a young girl, shortly after moving to the United States. She came to prominence for her appearances in AT&T commercials on television as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and since the year 2020. She also was a regular series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also had an ongoing role as a character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl on Marvel Rising in 2018 following her role in the pilot television series for New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish and born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. At the age of two her parents and she moved to the U.S. as refugees to avoid antisemitism and settled in West Hollywood. Her family's financial difficulties caused her to be a part of Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. She dropped out of school following her sophomore year. She earned an GED and later was able to earn an undergraduate degree in Arts (Communication) from University of California San Diego. She was a member of improv comedy group the Upright Citizens Brigade.
